Andrew Jackson, love him or hate him?

Description Andrew Jackson is often negatively marked for his quest to remove Native Americans out of the American southeast, as well as some of his political stances. But he is also known as an American war hero, and an important figure in Tennessee history. So, using your knowledge gained from reading both chapters 4 and 5 from the textbook this week, what do you think – was Andrew Jackson a hero or more of a villain? What evidence can you bring in from the primary sources from this week’s readings to support your opinion?
